BASINGSTOKE Bison import forward Richard Bordowski looks set to miss a second weekend of action, as the Herd take on the Hull Pirates at home on Saturday (6.30pm) and then the Bracknell Bees away on Sunday (5.30pm).
Last weekend, without Bordowski the Bison beat the Raiders and then lost a one-goal game in Telford, so there is no reason to think they cannot got some points in their next two games.
Saturday’s visitors started the season in great form, but will arrive in Hampshire looking to snap a four game losing streak.
They are known as one of the top offensive teams, but will be minus one of the big guns as Bobby Chamberlain is suspended.
On Sunday, the Bison make their first trip to the Hive, which in recent years has often not been a happy hunting ground first time around in a campaign for the Herd. The visitors will also keen to end a winless road record this season and it would be the perfect time in a derby clash.
Looking ahead to the weekend, Bison player/coach Ashley Tait said: “We know Hull will be come here looking to score lots of goals and we will have to stop them doing that. Bracknell is a tough place to go, but I am sure we will have a really good following from our fans.”
During Saturday night’s the club will doing a bucket collection for their two-way player Sean Norris of the Slough Jets.
He suffered a severe concussion and traumatic brain injury last weekend and will be unable to work for some considerable time and unfortunately does not receive sick pay in his current role There is also a GoFundMe page which is at gofundme.com/f/sean-norris-fundraiser
