Saturday’s game ended with scenes of great celebration as the Dragons secured their first victory in the league, which moved them up two places off the foot of the table.

The win also extended new Basingstoke manager Dan Brownlie’s unbeaten run to four games since taking charge.

Now the team turn their attentions to the a trip to fellow Southern League Division One side Cirencester for an FA Trophy preliminary round tie.

Town have been boosted this week ahead of thetrip by the news this week that the loan deals on AFC Wimbledon duo Zach Robinson and Rueben Collins have been extended, while Ryan Suckling will be suspended.

Looking ahead to the tie Brownlie said: “We know the game is not going to be easy, but I have a lot of faith in this team we will give it our best shot."
