BASINGSTOKE Bison's rivals will be green with envy when they see the new Herd shirts, which were unveiled this week at the club’s main sponsor Trane British office in the town.

The club are going back in time, as they have worn green shirts before, but not for number of seasons.

The Bison are really pleased to have the backing of Trane this season and the first airing of the new shirts was at Bessemer Road on Tuesday night.

The company have a real link with the Herd as it is their chillers at the Basingstoke Arena that produce the optimum ice that the Bison skate on.

Gary Case marketing leader of Trane said: “We really enjoyed our partnership with the Basingstoke Bison last season and we are really pleased to sponsors again.

“They are a big part of the town’s community and we want to part of this. Our employees say only good things about going and watching the team and we hope they have another excellent season.”

Planet Ice’s group managing director John Neville said: “We are delighted to have Trane back with us for another season.

"We are also really pleased with the way the shirts have turned and hope our fans will like them.

“We have added KH to the shirts in honour of Keith Hope our scorer for 15 years who sadly passed away during the summer.”

Bison fans will get their first chance to see the new shirts wore by their team on the weekend of September 14/15 when the Herd take on the Peterborough Phantoms with Saturday game on home ice with a 6.30pm face-off.
