TWENTY two Adventure members took themselves to Bowsaw Lake on Sunday last, where consistent Steve Hunt scored with 120lb 4oz of carp on the pellet waggler, Kevin Holmes caught 104lb 2oz on pole and meat, Mike Allen’s 98lb 6oz of carp was a pole and pellet affair whilst Graham Spiller put 88lb 6oz in the sack on pellet waggler. All who fished caught.

Camrose AC went to Willow Pool for their latest fixture and it was Rugby League devotee Paul Bassinder who touched down with 48lb of carp on pole and corn, the aptly named Pat Finn put 38lb of carp in the sack on pole and bread, consistent Colin Thomas utilised bomb and pellet for his 32lb of carp, Darren Goddard completed the frame with 29lb 4oz on pole and corn. Fifteen fished and caught.

Kennet Ospreys match at Dandys Ford only attracted a disappointing thirteen anglers, Doug Wright did the business netting 121lb 3oz on pole and maggot at the adjacent peg John Timney put 80lb 5oz in the sack fishing pole and meat, Kim Coombs made third spot his with 55lb 4oz on pole and paste. All caught one did not weigh.

This coming Sunday The Basingstoke Championships will be fished over five venues, namely Whitehouse Lake, Old and New Barlows Lakes, Soke Road Lake and Adventure’s Willow Pool. This annual teams of five event will see one angler from each team on one of the venues. As usual Staceys Supremo Keith Brown will be running the show, that has a breakfast barbecue at White House Lake before the off and after the match a barbecue, prize giving and raffle will take place back at Whitehouse Lake, all proceeds will go to St Michaels Hospice.
