KINGSCLERE will entertain Whitchurch on Saturday with the winners almost certain to be promoted from the Hampshire League Regional Division One North East.

Whitchurch moved up to second in the table after they beat visitors Old Basing III 112-runs.

The home side scored 243-4 thanks to Jack Dancer (81) and Richard Osmond (68).

In reply, Old Basing were bowled out for 131 as Steve Munday took 3-21.

Kingsclere slipped to third after they lost by eight wickets at East Woodhay II, as they moved up to fourth.

Terry Kresya scored 52 in their 157, which proved not enough as the home side reached 158-2.

Rotherwick ITW lost by 61 runs at Ropley seconds as the home side scored 225-5.

Off spinner Ali Brown took 3-40 in a fine spell.

When it was the visitors time to bat they simply could not match the required run rate, but did bat their full 40 overs finishing on 164-8.

Graham Hooper top scored with 23 with John Holder (22) and Josh Terry (21) close behind.
