BASINGSTOKE Town kick-off their Southern League Division One South campaign on Saturday, with a home game against Barnstaple.
The Dragons will face their Devon rivals at their temporary home for the start of this season Winchester City’s ground. Kick-off is 3pm.
Town will be hoping to continue their form from last weekend, when they finished their pre-season campaign with a 4-3 victory at Ashford (Middlesex).
Ben Wright scored the game winner and summer signing Jordan Edwards netted a brace.
Basingstoke boss Martin Kuhl said: "I felt we played really well and the mood around the club is a lot brighter with developments both on and off the field.
"The budget is getting increased and we are still looking to add to the squad before Saturday's game. I have been offered a few from league clubs."
Saturday's visitors, Barnstaple were in FA Cup action last weekend and lost at Exmouth Town 2-0.
On Tuesday night, Town have their first away league game at last season’s Wessex League Premier Division champions Sholing.
