THE Basingstoke Bison have re-signed one of their impressive young British forwards from last season Oscar Evans.

Last season was the captain of the under-18 Bison side and also played for Buffalo and also made 35 appearance for the senior Herd.

The teenage sharp shooter, who turned 18 at the start of this month scored once for the Bison in South One out of points tally of seven.

He also netted eight times for the Buffalo in South Two on his way to 11 points.

Evans led by example for the under-18s scoring 25 times in 14 games and also collected another 10 assists.

The teenager made his Herd debut during their treble winning season scoring three times from seven games.

Bison player/coach Ashley Tait is delighted that Evans has re-signed and said: “He is extremely good skater and definitely has potential. He will pushing the other forwards in the team

Evans and the rest of the Bison return to the ice on the weekend of September 14/15 when they face the Peterborough Phantoms in the Billy Glover Memorial Cup.

The Herd's opening league fixture in the new National League is on Saturday, September 21 when they face a visit from the Telford Tigers

The fixtures for the Buffalo season in South Two league campaign have been released and the Buffs will start at home to the Cardiff Fire on Sunday, August 15.

Their second game is also at home when Solent are the visitors a fortnight later.
