KINGSCLERE continue to head the Hampshire League Regional Division One North East after a seven wicket success against visiting Hartley Wintney III.

The visitors were all out for 189 as Jonny Rowland top scored with 90 and Terry Kreysa took 4-24. Steve Hanney hit 95 in 'Clere’s winning total of 190-3.

Whitchurch (234-6) are still second after they they beat AWE Tadley (223) by 11 runs.

At the other end of the table, relegation threatened Rotherwick ITW reduced high flying Donnington to 111- 8 but could not finish the job as they closed on 167-8.

There were two wickets apiece for John Holder, Adam Cordery and Phil Mitchell.

Accurate Donnington bowling saw Rotherwick ITW become somewhat becalmed and despite good knocks from Paul Buckingham (30) Kyle Frost (16) and Adie Terry (32 not out) they ended their 40 overs on 137-8.
