BASINGSTOKE Bluefins won the County Masters Championships in Portsmouth, by an impressive margin from nearest rival City of Southampton and Fareham Nomads.
The best swimmers from around the county took part and the Bluefins were out in force with 26 representatives.
they were Andy Wrigley, Ciaran Kelly, Clive Goodwill, Ed Smith, Emily Budzynski-Seymour, Fleur Turner, Jack Staples, Jean Hanna, Jo Postins, Liberty Turner, Lizzy Godfrey, Mark Harper, Mark Straw, Matt Griffiths, Matt Wright, Neil Lawler, Neil Mitchell, Coach -Neil Phillips, Noreen Wise, Ray Knight. Becca Poole, Rowan Williams, Sammy Girle, Spencer Turner, Steve Canning, Stuart Williams and Tom Blakeley.
The event saw the Bluefins win numerous medals of all varieties. Notable performances were clean sweeps for Ed Smith with six golds and Ray Knight with seven golds.
Spencer Turner won top male and Fleur Turner was second in top female.
Many personal best were set from both experienced swimmers and those competing in their first competition.
It really was a fantastic team effort with everyone competing in relays as well to ensure we had best chance in competing against other clubs.
