IN celebration of 30 years at their current Petanque site at Basingstoke Rugby Football Club, Racing Club Petanque held a Charity Club Melee Tournament on Sunday afternoon with all the proceeds being donated to St Michael's Hospice, writes CHRIS MANN.

Racing Club were pleased to welcome Daisy Mitchell from St. Michael's Hospice, who joined one of the 10 teams of pairs, for a great afternoon of competitive boule.

This culminating with eventual winners Malcolm Morrison and Kevin Watson winning by the tightest of margins, having tied on winning all of their games, with points difference coming into play to secure their win.

More importantly a great afternoon of play and fun was enjoyed by all and Racing Club Petanque raised a total of £300 which was presented to St.Michael's Hospice.
