A NEW look Basingstoke Town will open their pre-season on Saturday with a trip to Burnham.

Talking ahead of side’s first outing this season Town manager Martin Kuhl said: “We have had a good turn out for training with around 30 players,

“We have lost a lot of last season’s first team, most to teams above the level we play and now we will trawl for replacements.”

Kuhl added: “At the moment the finances are tight and making sure the club survives are more important. We are trying to bring in players, but are being out bid by other teams.

Reece Rusher would have played on Saturday, but a broken hand rules him out, while Ben Wright could well play a part.
