THE Basingstoke Bison unveiled three more returnees at their annual Season Ticket evening at the Basingstoke Arena last Friday.

The returning trio are Brits Elliott Dewey, Josh Kelly and Hallam Wilson.

Stay at home defenceman Dewey is back for a third year with the Herd and last season the 22-year-old was the winner of Ashley Tait's Coaches Player of Year award.

Like Dewey, Kelly is also Basingstoke-born and solid blue liner. The 19-year-old joined the Bison last season after starting the campaign in Sweden

Feisty forward Wilson is a product of the Basingstoke junior system and the 21-year-old is back for this third full season with the senior team and last term enjoyed a career high 10 points hitting the net five times.

Tait said: "I am really pleased that all three are back as I am sure they will build on what they did last year."

The Bison will return to the ice for the first time on the weekend of September 7 and 8, when the Herd will face the Peterborough Phantoms in the annual Billy Glover Memorial Cup.

The first game will be at home on the Saturday (face-off 6.30pm) and the return is in Cambridgeshire which starts at 5.30pm.

This is the third time these sides have clashed for the trophy in memory of a Peterborough stalwart, with the Phantoms winning it last season and the Bison first time around.
