OAKLEY took over the top spot of the Hampshire League County Division Three North after crushing 166-run victory at Michelmersh and Timsbury.

The visitors batted first and Elliot Hennessy hit 80 as they scored 228-8.

Fawad Ahmed took this first of four wickets with his first ball on his debut as the home side were shot out for 62.

Hartley II (200) lost by four wickets to Liss, despite Daniel Nightingale scoring 71. Elliot Walker hit 52 in Hook III’s winning score of 201-6 as Hursley Park only made 180-6.

Ramsdell (83-3) won by eight wickets over Liphook II thanks to four wickets from Kieran Exley and three each from Tom Holbrook and Jonny Bradley. Overton (203) beat IBM Hursley (113)

Oakley seconds won a one run thriller over Donnington in Regional Division One North East.

Oakley scored 174-7 as Steve Savage 49 and Neil Warner 46 top scored and then Donnington were bowled out for 173.

Leaders AWE Tadley continued their perfect start to the season as they won at Aldershot IV by eight wickets.

Brothers Steve Hanney (66) and Chris Hanney (54) helped Kingsclere to 244.

Kingsclere then bowled out Ropley for 98 to move up to third.

An excellent opening spell of bowling by Rotherwick ITW’s Tim Culver and Phil Mitchell saw them register a combined 9-37 from their 16 overs, bowling Whitchurch out for just 52.

However, Rotherwick ITW could not handle the pressure of chasing this small total and succumbed to some accurate Whitchurch bowling as they were bowled out for just 38.
