THE Basingstoke Bison have added even more firepower to the forward line, with the re-signing of their top British goalscorer last year Alex Sampford.
Sharp-shooter Sampford certainly exceeded expectations last season, as he finished with an impressive career high of 26 goals and only import Richard Bordowski hit the net more times for the Herd last term.
This was the Basingstoke-born player's first full campaign in a Bison uniform and the 22-year-old finished the season as their Young Player of Year.
Bison player/coach Ashley Tait is really pleased with his latest re-signing and said: "Alex did everything I was told he could do and you know if he gets to the top of circle he is lethal. He is another important re-signing for the team."
There will be more signing news tomorrow night, when the Basingstoke Arena hosts the Herd's Season Ticket Evening.
Fans can purchase season tickets from 6.30pm, with the player announcements from 7.30pm.
