HARTLEY Wintney became the third team to make the semi-finals of the Finch Group Guy Jewell Cup after beating Rotherfield Park by eight wickets.

Rotherfield batted first and finished on 88-6 with Jason Knibbs 3-17 and Dan Reynaldo 2-2 the pick of the bowlers.

Hartley opener Will Kerr then top scored with 37 and Knibbs finished off the job with an unbeaten 26.

They still await their opponents in the last four as the Old Basing and Odiham and Greywell’s clash was a victim of the weather last Thursday and this has been re-arranged for July 1 at May's Bounty.

The opponents in the other semi-final are known and it will see holders Hook and Newnham Basics A face Basingstoke and North Hants on Thursday, July 11.

Rotherwick ITW booked their place last eight of the Finch Group Cyril Thompson Trophy after a six wicket win over Stratfield Turgis and HW.
