LAST year’s finalists in the Finch Group Guy Jewell Cup will face each other at the semi-final stage this time around.
This was after holders Hook and Newnham Basics A were drawn to face Basingstoke and North Hants in a game scheduled to take place on Thursday, July 11 at May’s Bounty.
The other semi-final will take place on Thursday July 4, also at May’s Bounty and will see Old Basing or Odiham and Greywell face Rotherfield Park or Hartley.
The draw for the quarter-finals of the Finch Group Cyril Thompson Trophy was also made at the same time and will see the following games played on the dates specified at May’s Bounty.
Basingstoke Hockey v Ramsdell (Monday, July 1), Binsted v Oakley (Monday, July 8), Hook and Newnham Basics B or St Mary’s v Andover (Monday, July 15) and Kingsclere v Stratfield Turgis or Rotherwick ITW (Thursday, July 18).
The winners of the Cyril Thompson Trophy this year will be promoted to play in the Guy Jewell Cup in 2020.
