BASINGSTOKE Town may be back to playing in blue and yellow stripes next season, but they are ready keen to go green.

With this in mind the club are looking for a volunteer who can help the club with there carbon footprint.

Terry Brown chairman of the community club said: “We at the club are really keen to have a small carbon footprint and we are looking for a volunteer to make us an Ecofriendly club from everything including the new buildings at the ground.

"We looking at teaching the youngsters and going into schools with the green message."

With season tickets sales having neatly doubled this summer ahead of the Dragons move to their new home at the Winklebury Stadium.

The club have decided to offer a second discount rate till the end of June.

The tickets are priced at £115 for adults and concessions are £80.

Manager Martin Kuhl has spoken to all of last year's squad, but the cub have yet to announce their first signings for the season ahead of their campaign in the Southern League Division One South.

Two players who will not be pulling on Town shirts this coming season, are former captain Charlie Kennedy and striker Sam Argent, who also was a Hartley hitman.

The pair have both headed to south and signed for big spending Gosport Borough.
