HARTLEY Wintney completed a quick fire double over Liphook and Ripsley, as they followed up their league success on Saturday, with a T20 Cup victory 24 hours later.

The home side put into bat made a solid start thanks to Jason Knibbs (40 from 44 balls three fours and one six) and James Beckwith (37 from 25 balls, five fours and two sixes).

The scoreboard kept ticking as Louis Lynch, Lee Wood and Angus Brown all scored sixes as the home side finished on 158-6.

The Liphook reply was soon in trouble at 15-3, as Anthony Parson (2-33) and Lynch run out.

Grant Rouse (20) and George Neave (31) added 53 for the fourth wicket, but both were removed with the score on 68 thanks to Baldwin (3-12) and Knibbs (1-26).

After this the visitors never recovered and finished well short of their target on 117-9.

Hartley now await their opponents in the second round.

This Saturday, they are back in league action away to South Wilts II.
