ALEX Wynter, Paul McCallum and Mark Yeates walked off with the main prizes at the Eastleigh Football Club end-of-season awards.

The event took place after Easter Monday's play-off-clinching home win over Maidenhead United.

Wynter, a model of defensive consistency since joining the Spitfires from Maidstone United last summer, was named player-of-the-year.

The players’ player award went to prolific targetman McCallum, whose penalty opener against Maidenhead was his 26th goal of the National League season.

King of assists Mark Yeates, whose majestic chip set the seal on the 2-0 Maidenhead win, took the TSSC (The Spitfires Supporters Club) vote for player-of-the-year.

Wing-back Josh Hare’s magnificent strike against Havant & Waterlooville was voted goal-of-the-season, while the scholars’ awards went to Archie Wilcox (first year) and Jacob Tanswell (second year).

Coach-of-the-year was Luke Hardy from the Eastleigh Academy, Mike Castle was awarded the Community Cup, Tony Shiner received the Derik Brooks Lifetime Dedication Award and Steve New was named Sheridan Price volunteer-of-the-year.
