HARTLEY Wintney moved up to seventh place in the Southern League Premier South with a comfortable 2-0 win over in form Beaconsfield.

The Row dominated from the start and on three minutes Steven Duff and Dan Stewart combined to set up Mitchell Parker who shot just over.

The home side continued to press and took the lead on 10 minutes. A Josh Webb corner was not cleared by the Rams defence and Nathan Smart shot home from close range.

Hartley remained firmly on top and on 32 minutes a fluent move involving several players saw Jack French set up Parker who shot across the face of the goal.

Mitchell was again involved five minutes later when he gained space on the right and his cross was headed wide by Dan Stewart.

Hartley resumed the second half on top and on 50 minutes Stewart set up Parker who brought out a good save from Rams keeper Ravan Constable.

The Row added a second goal on 55 minutes. Some slack play in the Beaconsfield defence allowed Parker a clear run in on goal and the striker shot home off the inside of the post.

Five minutes later Hartley should have added a third. Parker and Webb combined well to set up Stewart who shot over when well placed.

It was not until the 75th minute that the Rams registered their first shot when a free kick on the left from Charlie Lossaso hit the top of the crossbar.

A minute later Lossaso created space for himself and shot over from the edge of the box.

On the 90th minute a Mitchell corner found the head of Alex Albert who saw his effort well saved by Constable.

The Row held on comfortably after an impressive performance.

Hartley are in action on Easter Monday away at Swindon Supermarine.
