NEWLY crowned champions MFC Popley Youth are setting their sights on winning the treble this season.

The under-16 side clinched their East Berks League title with a 5-1 away win at Hawley as Adam Poynter and Calum Wilis both netted a brace and Charlie Foster got the other.

This Saturday, the side travel to Baffins Milton Rovers ground in Portsmouth to take on Eastleigh in the final of Hampshire Cup.

In the previous two seasons, Popley have reached the semi-final stages and both times were beaten by the eventual winners.

In this season's Hampshire Cup run started with a 4-2 success over Colden Common and they followed this up with an excellent victory as they beat holders Newport 3-0 on the Isle of Wight,

A 1-0 quarter-final success at home to Hawley set-up a semi-final away at Basingstoke Town's JPL team, which they won 2-1.

A week after their Hampshire Cup final, Popley have another final, for the East Berks League Cup

For this the young side will travel to Binfield's ground to face Curley Park Rangers.
