HARTLEY Wintney progressed to the semi finals of the Aldershot Senior Cup with a 3-0 win over a youthful and skilful Aldershot Academy side. ,

The Row made an early breakthrough on six minutes when a free-kick on the right from Ty Smith was headed home by Jack Ball.

On 26 minutes it was a repeat goal. A Ty Smith free-kick was this time headed home by Steven Duff.

Smith made it a hat trick of assists on the half hour as his long pass found the run of Mitch Parker.

The striker moved on and shot home from the edge of the box.

The young Shots team did register a couple of decent efforts from striker Tuson Smith.

The first went just over the bar and the second brought out a good save from Paul Strudley.

The second half saw the young Shots defence hold up well ably backed by keeper Hall who brought out some good saves.

The Row missed a number of presentable chances as the progressed through to a semi-final at Camberley Town.

Next for Hartley who are 10th in the Southern League Premier South is a trip to Hendon on Saturday and then to King's Langley on Tuesday night.
