RACING Club Petanque Rhinos have again gained promotion back into the top flight for the 2019 season.
Having gained promotion two years ago into the Southern Counties Petanque England top division, and subsequently being relegated the following year.
With hard work; practice, and determination, the team set their sight fully on competing at this higher level and this time retaining a position in the top flight division at the end of the season.
Last season they played a total of 12 league matches, and won eight of these and finished top place with 42 points.
A total of seven teams were in the league so they played each team home and away once.
The full squad of the winning team consisted of nine players from which six play each match during the season
All of the nine of them contributed through the season.
They were Richard Baker (captain), Chris Mann, Caroline Mann, Peter Brown, Brenda Brown, Kevin Watson, Kerry Watson, Malcolm Morrison and David Cottrell.
