THE Basingstoke Bison have a massive two games to complete 2018, as they face the two of their title rivals in the race for the South One crown.
The action starts with a home game against the Swindon Wildcats on Friday night (7.30pm) and then on Sunday (5.30pm) the Herd are on their travels to the league leading Peterborough Phantoms.
The Herd are currently fourth in the standings points with 33 points from 22 games.
Swindon are third with 33 points from 24 games and Peterborough are top with 36 points from 20 games.
The Bison have so far split the series with Wildcats with both sides winning on home ice and enjoyed their first win of the season over Peterborough earlier this month with a thrilling 4-3 penalty-shoot out win as they came back from 3-0 down.
Last weekend, the Herd beat Invicta 5-3 and lost to the Raiders 5-2.
Looking ahead to the weekend Bison player/coach Ashley Tait said: “These are two of the biggest games of the season - if we want to win the title. We know both games will be tough, but we have beaten both teams already.”
