THE Basingstoke Barracudas ice hockey team are looking for sponsors to help the team continue to build on their success last season.

Last term the Barracudas finished third in their league, known as the Corridor Cup, only missing out on second spot by goal difference.

This season the Corridor Cup has expanded to take in teams which play in Cardiff and London. It will see the Basingstoke side play 16 regular league games and on top of this a number of challenge matches.

The team which was only formed three years ago are coached by Paul Standing and his son former Bison shot stopper Connor is their goalie and also has a number former South Two players as well

Team manager Chris Salmon said: “We are community team and would love to get some sponsors on board. We can put their logos on our shirts which will be seen right right across southern England with all the teams we play.”

Anyone interesting in sponsoring the team can contact team manager Salmon on chris.barracudasihc@gmail.com and anyone interested in volunteering or playing can also use the same email.
