THE BASINGSTOKE Bison made it three wins on the trot, as they beat the visiting Invicta Dynamos 5-3.

It was the visitors who had the first chance of the game, as Invicta man of the match Louis Colvin was denied by Alex Mettam.

The home side were then awarded a powerplay and a smart save by Conor Morris stopped George Norcliffe.

Within a minute of the powerplay finishing, the Herd took the lead as Norcliffe put away Hallam Wilson’s rebound at 8:52.

The home side continued to have the better chances from Richard Bordowski and Michal Klejna and then Invicta’s Edmund Piacka forced Mettam to save.

The Bison then doubled their lead before the first break, as man of the match Danny Ingoldsby fired home.

Just 98 seconds into the second session, the visitors hauled themselves back into the contest with a goal.

This was after a good spell of pressure which saw Matt Foord’s shot saved, but Brandon Miles put away the rebound.

On the Bison’s second powerplay of the middle session, both Liam Morris and Norcliffe went close.

Then with 36 seconds left in the period, Bison’s Liam Morris beat his younger brother Conor in the Invicta net to make it 3-1.

After the interval, once again the visitors scored the first goal of the session as Piacka scored on the powerplay.

The home side quickly hit back as the Herd’s summer signing from Invicta Tom Ralph scored against his old club.

On the only powerplay of the final period, the Bison added a fifth goal thanks to a blue line bullet from Adam Jones.

The visitors then scored a late consolation goal from Martin Susters with 21 seconds left and despite pulling their netminder they were unable to add to their tally.

This evening, the Bison travel to the early league leaders the Bracknell Bees.
