THE Basingstoke Bison finished their Autumn Cup campaign with a 4-3 loss at the Telford Tigers, in what was a dead rubber.
The home side took the lead at 5:20 from man of the match Doug Clarkson and exactly a minute later, the Herd levelled as Richard Bordowski converted a pass from Russ Cowley.
In the second session the Bison built up a 3-1 advantage.
Hallam Wilson netted the first assisted by Danny Ingoldsby and Jay King.
Their third goal came from Alex Sampford from Bordowski and Cowley.
The Herd were then rocked at 44:08, as Martin Klejna received a match penalty for spearing.
The Telford pulled themselves back into the game as Andrew McKinney scored on the powerplay and then Jonathan Weaver levelled things at 56:23.
The Tigers were now roaring and Clarkson made sure of the victory as he scored the winner at 58:17.
This Saturday, the Bison return to league action when the Peterborough Phantoms are the visitors.
For the second night running Bison netminder Dan Weller-Evans picked up the Herd's man of the match.
