THE Basingstoke Bison will look to build on the good start to their Autumn Cup campaign last weekend.

This saw them take three points from their double header with the Sheffield Steeldogs.

This weekend they face back-to-back games with the Hull Pirates.

The first game is on home ice this Saturday which starts at 6.30pm and the return is in Hull on Sunday evening which has a 5.30pm face-off.

Last weekend, the Pirates who head North One lost their opening Autumn Cup game 8-2 in Swindon, but then erased this from the memory with a 3-2 win on home ice.

The Bison are waiting to see if Liam Morris will be back in their line-up this Saturday.

The forward picking up a match penalty at the end of last Saturday’s game. If he is only given a one match ban he back for the Hull home game.

Looking forward to the weekend Bison player/coach Ashley Tait said: “I was pleased with last weekend with the three points and defensively we really improved from the week before.

“We will have play well defensively this weekend as Hull are very good offensively and it will certainly be another big test.”
