HAMPSHIRE star Liam Dawson has been included in England’s one-day international squad for this winter’s series in Sri Lanka.

The slow left-armer will be hoping to add to his one ODI cap, against Pakistan at Cardiff two years ago.

He has been recalled after impressing for England Lions in their tri-series against India A and West Indies A in June, taking 12 wickets at 10.25 apiece.

Dawson is currently playing for Hampshire in their penultimate Specsavers County Championship match of the season, against Yorkshire at Headingley.

The five-match series begins on October 10 in Dambulla and also includes matches in Kandy and Colombo.

Uncapped Warwickshire seamer Olly Stone has been called up to replace Liam Plunkett, who will miss the first three ODIs due to his wedding.

Full England squad: Morgan (Middlesex, captain), Moeen Ali (Worcestershire), Buttler (Lancashire), S Curran, T Curran, Roy (Surrey), Dawson (Hampshire), Hales (Nottinghamshire), Bairstow, Plunkett, Adil Rashid (Yorkshire), Stokes, Wood (Durham), Stone, Woakes (Warwickshire).
