FOOTBALL for free is on offer on Wednesday at Bridge Street as Overton look to extended their winning run to five on the trot.

They open their home campaign with a local derby game against Stockbridge in the Hampshire Premier League.

The bar at the club opens at 6pm for a pre match drink and the match itself has a 7.30pm kick-off.

Overton's fourth win on the bounce came on Saturday when they won at Michelmersh and Timsbury 5-1in the League Cup.

The visitors went into the game with a much changed side which gave some opportunities to the rest of the squad and we were rewarded with the victory.

Finley Hall open the scoring, with a breakaway goal after putting some good pressure on their back line.

The returning George Hallahan scored the second on the stroke of half time.

Early in the second half, the home side pulled one back and the next 10 minutes Overton had to ride out some pressure.

They then finished the game strongly, their third goal came from Hallahan, before two headers from Matt Langley wrapped up the win.

the previous Wednesday, Overton won in the league 4-1 at Locks Heath.

The first three goals came in the first half, firstly from Christian Cox after a great set piece delivery from Lucas Pickett.

The second came in the same vein with another top delivery from Lucas, with Stuart Urquhart this time the goalscorer.

Ben Dillon then added Overton's third.

The second half started like the first on with the visitors on top.

They added a fourth through Ben Dillon after some great interchange play from Alex Jupp, Dillon and Cox down the left wing.

Overton's goalkeeper Craig Atkinson got called into action with an unreal double save, before the home side scored a late consolation.
