BASINGSTOKE Town Jason Bristow is confidence his side can get back to winning ways this weekend, after suffering a rare home defeat at the hands of Poole Town.

On Saturday, they travel to Frome, before on Monday having a Hampshire derby clash with Gosport Borough, whose player/manager is former Basingstoke star striker Craig McAllister.

Town are currently 12th in the table, with Gosport three places below them and winless Frome are 19th.

Bristow said: "Both of these games will be tough and with two games in three days, we will use our squad to the full.

"Last Saturday against Poole, we were not good enough in the first half and we told the players this at half-time.

"They came out in the second half and scored an equaliser, which was given and then disallowed. Despite this the boys kept going to the final whistle and I hope we can take that performance into Saturday's game."
