TWENTY anglers fished the Kennet Osprey match at Billhook Lake on Sunday last, where Steve Shepherd topped out with 75lb 13oz of mixed on pole, corn and pellet.

Dougie Wright's 67lb of carp fell to the method feeder as did Gerry Nickell’s 65lb 8oz and Dwayne Seed’s 64lb 8oz. All caught in a high scoring match.

Oxoid AC went to Witherington Farm Cottage Lake for their latest match and Del Baulsom scored with 91lb 3oz of carp on pole and maggot. Peter Lovegrove caught 84lb 13oz of carp on 2 plus 2 and meat whilst Leigh Punter weighed in 82lb of carp on the method. Seven fished and weighed.

The Staceys Charity Match spread over four waters raised an amazing £1521 for St Michaels Hospice, Camrose AC went to Soke Road where James Andrews caught 80lb of mixed on pole and worm followed by Rob Frost with 73lb on pole and pellet. Fourteen fished and caught.

Adventure AS were at Willow Pool where Kevin Smith won with six carp on bomb and pellet for 49lb 2oz, Bartosz Recki netted five carp on the same method for 45lb 2oz. Thirteen fished and caught.

Basingstoke Railway Club were at Whitehouse Lake where Keith Brown won with 65lb 12oz of mixed on pole and pellet, Alan Wells came next with 52lb 8oz of carp using pole and corn. Eleven fished and caught.

Staceys Match Group were at Old and New Barlows Lakes, Tadley Angling’s Kevin Roberts won New Barlows with 60lb 12oz of carp on pole and caster, Andy (Hooverman) Wicks topped Old Barlows on 15lb 2oz of mixed on pole, meat and pellet. Ten fished and caught.

Thanks go to the raffle ticket enforcer Paul Follington, the volunteers who manned the barbeque, all the people who donated raffle prizes and of course Staceys Supremo Keith Brown, who organised the whole event and still had time to win his leg of the event.
