READING slipped to the bottom of the Championship after they suffered a 1-0 defeat at Nottingham Forest.
Algeria international Hillal Soudani's second-half strike earned the home side the victory.
A dull first half, saw Reading have the best chance when Costel Pantilimon saved Yakou Meite's effort with his legs.
A double change just before the hour gave Forest extra edge, with Soudani curling in a terrific left-footed shot past Vito Mannone just 12 minutes.
Reading will hope to snap their losing streak, when they take on Birmingham in the EFL Cup on Tuesday at home.
