HARTLEY WINTNEY moseyed down to the Ranch at Hanworth for a pre-season friendly arranged at short notice yesterday.

In searing heat both sides used much of their respective squads.

Hartley held the advantage throughout the first half and passed up several chances to score.

On 38 minutes the ball was worked out to Jayden Englefield on the right and his cross was converted by Jake Baxter.

The second half continued in the same pattern with the Row creating several half chances.

On 72 minutes they were able to add a second goal when an accurate through pass from the impressive youngster Kye Nash saw Nic Ciardini run through and convert the chance.

Ciardini added a third ten minutes later when he headed home a free kick from the right by Josh Webb.

On Thursday night, the Row enjoyed a 5-1 success at Farnham Town.

Hartley’s new signings Claudio Herbert and Matt. Evans played at least 45 minutes each.

Notes: On 21 minutes the returning Ross Cook scored and then four minutes Cook assisted Baxter.

After the break, the home side pulled a goal back, but on the 48-minute mark Baxter made it 3-1 from the spot.

Nine minutes later, Baxter completed his hat-trick and the visitors added a fifth from Luke Perkins Hartley are in action again on Tuesday night at Bedfont Sports.
