ADVENTURE AS went to Greenridge Farm on Sunday last, where Robin Guppy put pole and paste to good use netting 217lb of carp.

Match secretary Nick Sargent used pole and meat for his 177lb, Scott (meatloaf) Nelson also used pole and meat for his 155lb whilst Dave Stratford-Way caught 134lb.

It was nice to see a match secretary having the courage to disqualify anglers for having too many fish in keepnets, other match secretaries should take note.

Fifteen fished and caught.

Camrose AC fished their match at Adventures Willow Pool and Paul Bassinder cracked it using two plus two and corn as bait, for his 46lb of carp.

John Ambrose utilised the pellet waggler for 34lb of carp, Adrian Bartle used the same method for his 33lb 10oz, Steve Lewis caught 29lb on the method.

Fourteen fished and caught.

Basingstoke Railway Club went to a dour Witherington Farm for their latest fixture, and in form John Hooley won the match with 31lb of carp on pole and pellet.

Keith Brown’s maggot and pole caught 20lb 8oz was second followed by yours truly with 9lb 8oz and Trevor Matthews on 8lb 8oz.

Staceys Match Group’s latest outing was at Court Farm Fishery where Steve Davis was on cue with 170lb 12oz of carp on the pole and pellet after that it was the tale of the Butlers namely Matthew 167lb on pole and pellet. Daniel 161lb 12oz on pole and paste and Scott 159lb 4oz on pole and meat.

Twelve fished and eight caught over 100lb.

Eleven Kennet Osprey went to Bowsaw Lake on Sunday last, and Mark Parsons won with 119lb 3oz of carp on pole and pellet.

Gerry Nickells fished pole and corn over pellet for his 114lb 13oz, Steve Hunt was 3oz behind using pole and pellet whilst Les Humphries weighed in 112lb 4oz.
