THE Basingstoke Bison have added some more sting to their line-up with the signing British forward George Norcliffe
The 24-year-old is a new face for Herd debut and will buzz into town from the Bracknell Bees.
The Guildford-born player returned 11 points for the Bison's arch rivals from Berkshire last term, hitting the net eight times in 30 games.
A product of the Guildford junior system, he made his National Ice Hockey League debut in season 2012/13, with the Solent and Gosport Devils, where he scored 10 times.
He spent the next three years on the south coast, before moving across the water in the autumn of 2016 and suiting up for the Wightlink Raiders.
Norcliffe returned three points in four games for the island side, before the team had to quit the league.
He followed his Wightlink coach Jeremy Cornish to Streatham, where he collected an impressive 22 points in 23 games scoring 15 times.
Bison player/coach Ashley Tait is delighted with the latest addition to his forward department and said: “A number of coaches suggested him to me.
"George has a good shot and can play in the middle, which will be something we will want to help him develop that side of his game."
