NINETEEN Kennet Ospreys went to Watergate Farm near Amesbury last Sunday and it was venue expert Doug Wright who topped out.

Fishing paste over maggot 149lb 8oz of carp found their way into his net.

Steve Hunt’s 123lb 3oz of carp fell to a pole and maggot approach, Dwayne Seed fished long pole and maggot for his 119lb 12oz whilst Keith Saunders caught 111lb 2oz.

All anglers caught.

Basingstoke Railway Piscatorials fished an unproductive Witherington Farm on Saturday last, Staceys Supremo Keith Brown won with 32lb of carp and skimmers on pole and maggot.

Alan Wells weighed in 24lb 6oz of mixed on pole and maggot, Rob Carr (superstar) and Trevor Matthew both weighed in 20lb 8oz of carp on pole and maggot.

Fourteen fished and some struggled.

Adventure AS fished their latest match on the club’s Willow Pool Fishery where Mark Blackmon put 88lb 8oz of carp in the sack on pole and pellet.

Graham Spiller employed a similar method for his 79lb 13oz, match secretary Nick Sargent utilised pole and worm for his 50lb 2oz of mixed, Kevin Holmes made up the frame on 37lb 12oz of carp. Fourteen fished and caught.

Camrose AC went to the in form Whitehouse Lake last Sunday where Steve Lewis topped out with 91lb of carp on pole and pellet.

Brian Orchard used the same method for his 87lb of carp, Jason (the paste) Marcham put 39lb in the sack, followed by Paul Bassinder who caught 29lb 1oz of mixed on pole and pellet.

Thirteen fished all caught.

There will be two Wednesday evening open matches at Whitehouse Lake on June 20 and July 4, draw 5pm.
