AFTER leading Hartley Wintney to back-to-back promotions as well as a league and cup double this season, Daniel Brownlie has stepped down as joint manager.

Having been involved in the club in some capacity for several years, whether that be as a player or joint manager Brownlie has been an integral part of the Row’s recent success.

Last season alongside fellow joint manager Anthony Millerick, Brownlie guided the Row to promotion to the Southern League Premier Division, with a 1-0 play-off win against Cambridge City.

There was further success for Hartley Wintney last campaign as they completed a league and cup double claiming the Aldershot Senior Cup.

The announcement was made on Tuesday evening via Hartley Wintney’s Twitter account that Brownlie would be stepping away from the club and that Millerick will take sole control of the team heading into the new campaign.

In the tweet it said: “Dan has been an integral part of the club for a number of years as a player, manager, coach and social media guru. His energy, enthusiasm and professionalism has been a key ingredient in the club's amazing rise over recent seasons.

“Daniel will be missed by us all and the club wishes him every success in his future footballing career.”

Next season the Row will be competing in the same league as Basingstoke Town.
