LODDON Vale Ladies won their last Riversmeet league game of the season against Banister Park to clinch seconds spot in the league.

Loddon won on three of their rinks to take the overall victory 85-73.

The winning three rinks were skipped by Sheila Stone 24-17, Yvonne Banister 23-12 and Pauline Oxlade 20-16.

The only losing rink was Alice Lovett 18-28, Loddon played a friendly against a Peterborough Tourist team and had a good win 201-100.

Skips were Jeff White 39-3, John Holmes 30-6, Ian Laming 30-11, Fred Goddard 26-12, Tom Regan-Atkins 27-15, Mo Saunders 23-12, Jim Rainbow 14-18 and John Hilton 12-22.

Two teams have got through to the County finals which are being played at Chawton Park on the weekend of April 7 and 8.

Gary and Alice Lovett are in the mixed pairs, and in the mens fours, Duncan Rogers, Dave Rice, Steve Shaw and Trevor Morgan made it after they beat Victory 23-13 in the semi final.
