EASTROP Eagles having not played for a month had the misfortune to be matched in the Kelvin Cup semi-finals against Andover league leaders Arms SMB last Sunday.

They had not been beaten in two months and even if rusty Eagles had home advantage, their visitors extended their away winning run to 11 with a 6-0 victory.

In Division One, AFC Soldiers also went down 6-0 to Chineham, who notched up their first league double of the season.

Goals came from Kieran Allyne (2), Matt Kempson, James Hanley and Dan Greenwood.

Soldiers Return and Bramley United fought an even first half, with the only goal coming after 20 minutes from Soldiers in their Basingstoke and District Division One clash.

Stuart Leddy equalised for Bramley with a solo run and driven shot into the corner of the net 1-1, but their joy was short-lived, as Soldiers scored twice in quick succession for a 3-1 lead.

Adam Bartlett first reduced the deficit, then he headed in the equaliser 3-3 from a cross.

Bramley had a clear chance to win right at the death but blasted over the bar.

Soldiers Return scorers were Ellis Hauman and Alex Izzo with a brace.

Despite working hard, Basingstoke Saints were soon 3-0 down to Team FC in their Division Two match.

Liam James pulled one back to go in 3-1 at the interval.

In the second half Saints’ young players competed well but finished 4-1.

This was Team FC‘s fifth consecutive victory and a league double.

Camrose Social beat Shallow End 4-0 to extend their run to nine wins in a row and a league double.

Goals from Gareth Slade, Ben Woods and a pair from Chris Waller.

North Warnborough Reserves travelled to Chineham Reserves and Ryan Thorpe netted an early goal for them in a goal-mouth scramble.

Another goal followed from good build up work on the left from Jack Fisher and pass to Tom Davies to score.

Then a penalty was converted by Thorpe.

Chineham reduced the lead to 3-2 early in the second half, but Thorpe buried a second penalty, before Tom Davies wrapped up a 5-2 victory. This was Boro’s fourth win on the trot and a league double.

UWS and Kempshott shared the points in a 0-0 draw.
