ADVENTURE AS were at the prolific Court Farm Fishery on Sunday last and Dave Stratford-Way sorted it best, netting 176lb 8oz of carp on pole and pellet.

Mike Allen utilised pole and meat to account for his 138lb 12oz of carp, Martin Wickens pole and magged it for his 127lb, Bryan Swindle made up the frame with 112lb caught on pole and corn. Nineteen fished and all caught.

Camrose AC went to New Barlows Lake for their latest fixture and Colin Thomas duly won the match with 42lb of carp on pole and maggot.

Jason (the paste) Marcham used pole and pellet for his 33lb of carp, Pete Morris used pole and maggot for 31lb whilst Chris Hopgood caught 30lb of bream. Thirteen fished and caught.

Staceys Match Group fished at an out of sorts Dandys Ford where the breakfast was the highlight of the day, Andy (hooverman) Wicks won the match with one carp caught on pole and pinky weighing 3lb.

Tadley Angling’s Kevin Roberts also caught one carp and it weighed 2lb again on pole and pinky, Daniel Butler caught five microscopic fish for 3oz followed by Steve Davies who’s two fish weighed 1oz. Eleven turned up to fish but most didn’t catch.

Only eight anglers turned out for Kennet Ospreys match at Gold Valley, Gold Lake, where Andy Leith won with 36lb 6oz caught on the method feeder in conjunction with boilies, (camouflage) Jim Sims used the ground bait feeder for his 27lb of bream and carp, Les Humphries caught 21lb on the method and pop up. Some did not weigh.

Ospreys are at Dandys Ford tomorrow, Camrose go to New Barlows, Adventure have no fixture but are in the process of arranging one.

The Canary Islands are looking a good bet for my next fixture and for once ‘er indoors agrees with me.
