HAMPSHIRE Court have opened their Basingstoke and District Tennis League Ladies Division One campaign with four straight wins.

They have beaten RSF and Odiham A 8-0 and Aldermaston and Andover 6-2. Sally Clackett/Julie Frankland and Penny Luke/Tina Wood made up their team against Odiham.

Close on their heels are Goodworth Clatford who have also secured four wins from four matches.

They have beaten RSF 8-0, Odiham B 6-2 with Ros Hursell/Karen Causley winning all their sets, and 5-3 wins against both Aldermaston and Beechdown A.

Odiham B beat their A team 5-3 and Beechdown B 7-1, Helen Osgerby and Jocelyn Jones being unbeaten. They also won 6-2 against RSF. Andover have secured two wins against Aldermaston 7-1 and Beechdown B 8-0 with the team of Jennie Pope/Clare Reid and Sarah Rolfe/Kate Sloan.

The Beechdown A team of Clare Munns/Andrea Butcher and Ali Coughlan/Jo Newell-Kochli beat Odiham B 8-0 and Odiham A beat Aldermaston 6-2.

There was a draw between Odiham A and Beechdown A.

Goodworth Clatford B comfortably head Division Two with wins in their first six matches. They recorded 8-0 results against both Hampshire Court B and Preston Candover, 7-1 against Beechdown C, Whitchurch and Winchester B and 5-3 over Winchester A.

One of their latest matches saw Rowena Thorne/Sally Spencer win all their sets in the Winchester B match.

Also unbeaten after three wins from three are second placed Totally Tennis. They have yet to drop a set and in their latest match Amy Wigham/Tracey Grout and Isla Hignett/Sue Gibson all won their sets in the match against Winchester B.

They have also won their matches against both Beechdown C and D.

Hampshire Court B have three wins under their belt with results against Winchester A 5-3, Mortimer 8-0 and Beechdown C 6-2.

Winchester B beat their A team 7-1 and Hampshire Court 5-3.

The only other team with a win in the division are Preston Candover with a 7-1 result against Mortimer with Lizzie Young and Charlotte Whittle winning all their sets. They also drew against Whitchurch.
