THE Basingstoke Bison’s winning run extended to 10 games last weekend, as they beat the visiting Milton Keynes Thunder on Saturday night and then won over at Telford on Sunday.
The victory over MK chalked up another Bison record, as this was head coach Doug Sheppard 200th league win in charge of the Herd and he is first coach to reach this landmark.
Sheppard said: “It was another great weekend for the team and we really played well as a team and in Telford it could have been a bigger win.”
Next up for Bison is a visit from the Swindon Wildcats on Saturday (6pm) in the National Cup and then on Sunday they return to league action with a trip to the MK Thunder.
The Herd have already lost at the Link Centre to Swindon, this season and the Wiltshire side currently lead Group D.
Looking ahead to the mouth watering contest Sheppard said: “They are very good team from top to bottom and they will be hungry having lost last weekend, but we are team full of confidence at the moment. It will be a great game that is for sure.
On Sunday, the Herd will take their perfect league record to MK and Sheppard is taking nothing for granted despite a victory last weekend and said: "Playing in their barn is going to be a very different game.”
