FOUR former England Test stars Matthew Hoggard, Chris Tremlett, Sam Robson and Shaun Udal will be action in a special charity game at Hartley Wintney on Friday July 28.

The match between the Shaun Udal All Stars XI and Hartley is in aid of the Dove House School Academy and the Brain Tumour Charity.

Former Hampshire captain Jimmy Adams is also expected play for Udal’s team in a T20 match, which is scheduled to start at 2.30pm and is free to watch.

Hartley have hosted many superb Hampshire benefit games at their delightful village green and this should be no different, with some big hitting being the order of the day.

Looking ahead to the game, Udal said: “It should be a great day and it will benefit two great charities. It is a chance for cricket fans to get up close to their heroes, at what is a great ground.”

Before Hartley face the Udal All Stars, they have the little matter of a home game in the Southern League Division Two, when South Wilts IIs are the visitors on Saturday. The home side will be minus their top scoring batsman Henry Collier.

Last Saturday, Hartley’s promotion hopes were dented as they lost at St Cross II by four wickets.
