THE Basingstoke Bison have signed fans' favourite and long serving defenceman Kurt Reynolds.
This will be the Basingstoke-born player's tenth straight season with the Herd and therefore his testimonial year with the Bison.
Reynolds has been a key member of the team's success in recent years, being part of their double winning side in the season of 2013/14 and also part of their league championship winning season two years later.
The 30-year-old was rated as one of the top defencemen in the English Premier League and was twice named an All Star.
He has played over 400 league games for the Bison and started his career in the Herd's junior programme, before moving to Guildford where he made his senior debut.
Reynolds first suited up for the Herd in their final season in the Elite League and ever since has been the lynchpin of their defence.
He was the last Herd player to win the Gazette Sports Personality of Year award in 2015.
Bison head coach Doug Sheppard is delighted to have Reynolds back with the Bison and said: "Kurt has established himself as one of the top defencemen. He plays hard and physical which is the way I like the game to be played."
This evening the Bison will announce another two more exciting signings at the club's season ticket evening at the Basingstoke Arena.
This is the final day for fans to snap up the early bird offer for season tickets and the evening starts at 7.30pm.
