TOM Holbrook enjoyed a superb debut for Ramsdell as he shared an opening stand worth 243 with Dave Simpson, as they helped their side to a massive 243 run victory at St Cross IV in Hampshire League County Division Four North.

Holbrook finished with 152 and Simpson 85 in total of 395-6. The home side were all out for 152, as Stef Edirisinge took 5-32 and there was three wickets for Andy McCarthy.

Gerry Dique smashed a century for Oakley as they scored 260-7, which proved enough against Basingstoke and North Hants IV as they were all out for 106. Alex Brundle took five wickets and Brad Compton-Bearne three.

Old Basing II (146-5) beat Medstead (141) by five wickets thanks to Thomas Jackson (40), Chandra Shekhar (4-28) and Edward Lacey (3-18). Overton (251-8) won away at Wherwell (174), while Whitchurch was bowled out for 133 as Old Alresford won by six wickets.

Rajeev Nair carried his bat with an unbeaten 124 as Hartley Wintney II beat local rivals Hook and Newham Basics III by 86 runs in their opening Division Three North clash.

Nair’s century from 121 balls included 13 fours and five sixes as he helped his side to 215. Jonathan Rowland also hit a quick fire 35 from 30 balls which saw him clear the boundary rope three times.

Jack Campbell 3-43 was the most successful Hook bowler, who were bowled out for 129 in reply as Dan Reynaldo took 4-34.

Newly promoted Odiham and Greywell got their campaign off to a winning start as they won at RAMS by seven wickets.

The home side were bowled out for 216 as Adrian Green returned 3-8 at the end of the innings. Green (47) and John Hodgson (71) secured the visitors a seven wicket win, after earlier opener James Taylor hit 71.

Nick Willcock scored an unbeaten 51 as Hook II cruised to a nine wicket win over Hythe and Dibden (89) in Division One, as Colin Lye and Kishore Parmar took three wickets each.

In Division Two, Old Basing beat visiting Bournemouth by seven wickets. Josh Weir's 51 not out helped the home side to 197-3. Earlier the visitors were bowled out for 194, as Shaun Udal took 4-25.

Basingstoke III suffered a six wicket loss against Redlynch on Castle Field. Chris Froud hit 63 and then number 10 Jake Finchen (50) and Ethan Hawkes shared an unbroken ninth wicket stand worth 70 as the home side 211-8, but it was all in vain.
