Eighteen mixed pairs, playing foursomes, battled it out for the Philips Cup. With two couples both scoring 38 points it was down to countback to decide the winner pair and it was Jamie and Anita Hobdell who came out on top with Chris Smith and Heather Rimmer taking the runners-up spot. In third place also after countback were Mike and Karen Robey with 37 points.

Forty three players entered the April Monthly Medal and with the dry weather making the playing conditions quite difficult low scores were at a premium.

In second place, after countback, was Mark Furze with a net 69 and taking third place was Dave Bartlett who shot the best gross of the day with a 72 giving him a net 69.
