THE Basingstoke Bison will now be playing twice this weekend following the sad demise of the Manchester Phoenix last night, as they now travel to Milton Keynes Lightning on Friday night (7.30pm).
The former EPL champions were forced to quit the league after talks with a possible investor fell through.
The Phoenix were due to play at MK on Friday night, so the Bison have stepped in to fill the fixture gap, moving their game which was scheduled for Saturday February 18 forward.
On Saturday night (6.30pm), the Herd are at home to the league leaders the Telford Tigers.
