BASINGSTOKE Town manager Terry Brown is looking for four points from his side’s next two games, which will see them travel to Biggleswade Town on Saturday and then entertain Kings Langley on Tuesday night.

He is looking for his young chargers to erase the 3-0 defeat Weymouth in midweek from their minds, when his side played very poorly defensively and only striker Romone Rose came out of the game with any credit.

Brown said: “It was our worst display since Merthyr, we did not defend very well and I think this was not helped by the fact that all three of my tackling midfielders Charlie Kennedy, Dan Collier and Matt Partridge are injured.

“At the moment we are playing with all flair midfielders, which means they are good going forward, but not so good going back.”

Brown added: “We will look to lift the side up ahead of Saturday’s game and I are hoping striker Aaron Redford gets to play 45 minutes tonight and his ankle holds up.”

The loss on Tuesday night, saw Town slip to 15th in the Southern League Premier Division table. Saturday's opponents Biggleswade are currently 12th and are unbeaten in their last five games, so this will be a stiff test.

On Tuesday evening, at the Ark Cancer Charity Stadium, Town will hope to avenge a defeat by King’s Langley earlier in the season when the Dragons lost 2-0. The Hertfordshire side are 13th in the table.

Brown said: “King’s Langley are a side who have been together for a number of years, so they are used to playing together, but I feel we are at home. I really hope we can pick up four points from our next two games.”
