HARTLEY Wintney go in search of a hat-trick of straight wins in the Southern League Division Two this weekend when Tichborne Park are the visitors to the village green.

The home side having broken their losing streak in their last home game followed this up with another success at Fawley with a 75-run victory at Fawley.

Captain Danny Plume said: "It is a great feeling to see everything coming together now and I even won the toss for the first time this season.

"Confidence is high in the camp and will will make a couple of changes this weekend, as Rich Hill and James Beckwith are out, but the core of the side is the same, so I am hoping we can win again."

At Fawley, the Plume decided o bat and saw his side score 262-7 and then the home side were bowled out for 187.

However, it did not start well for Hartley, as both openers Matt Kerr and Tom Garwood were back in the pavilion with just 12 on the board.

Skipper Danny Plume (31) and Scott Baldwin (31) steadied the ship, but then went in the space of eight runs leaving the village side on 69-4.

It was left to Patrick Joseph (86) and Jack Hersh (74) to build the innings, as the pair shared a fifth wicket partnership worth 182 runs and helped Hartley to 262-7.

The Fawley reply suffered an early set back as opener Paul Marks (3) was caught behind by Richard Hill as Chris Saville (1-29) struck.

However, Andy Parratt (44) and James Nason (37) got the home side back on track, but the introduction of Baldwin (4-29) saw Fawley slump from 72-1 to 117-5, as Hill took another three catches.

Callum Earl (15) and Aashiq Rhode (27) moved the score to 162, but then Plume (2-20) took two quick wickets.

It was then left to Rhys Batcup ( 2-16) to complete the job, against a 10 man batting line-up as they were all out for 187.

Talking about the game Plume said: "The innings of Jack (Hersh) and Patrick (Joseph) was faultless they never gave away any chances."
